Making Jellies with Cola's sister

It is always Cola's sister favourite things to do for her pass time. I have been trying to involve her in tasks that she can handle.

Today, we dedicded to make jellies with Ningxia Red. Our ingredients:

1 packet of Ningxia Red

1 1/2 agar-agar powder

1/2 cup water

crystal sugar (amount up to your preference)

Melt the ingredients and bring them to boil. 

Let it cool down before pouring into the mould. 

Wait for 10 minutes and put them into the fridge for about 2 hours.

We make it in the early morning of Sunday and  so that we can have it as our snack in the afternoon!

Self Interrogation

After being away from blogging for a few years and come back, I found that blogging is still a very good therapy for me to relax.

Through blogging, I get to know myself better. I am glad that I am back to blogging again but maybe not active in this blog, but in the other blog Essential Oil Castle.

Regardless which blog that I am posting, it is still something that presenting myself, a carefree soul, the King of the Castle.

Different from few years back, this time I blog using my real identity. Haha! 

Self reward or Birthday gift

So I bought the Premium Starter Kit from Young Living after a few weeks of using essential oils and notice the improvement it brings to me.

Besides from the Premium Starter Kit, I also bought the ART facial cleanser, and 2 types of essential oils. And I got an extra bottle of essential oil as gift from Young Living.

I can't wait for weekend to come, so that I have time to play around with the oils. Just like a kid! But how many times do you get to feel like a kid when you are getting older? Right?

A little bit of sharing on Lavender Essential Oil

I shared about my journey of adding Lavender Essential Oil in my skin care regime in other blog which is all about essential oil.

It has to be at least a post or two in my personal blog because I mentioned about it in one of my new year resolution post that I would want to have clear skin with no pimples.

I am not sure how far can Lavender Essential Oil bring me to, but at least after one and a half month using it, I can see big improvement on my skin

I have this very bad habit that cause pimples keep growing and getting worse. I will scratch on the pimples and try to remove the pus (if there is any) with my fingers whether consciously or unconsciously. A Habit, that is. And you know how bad it is when I touched the pimples with fingers that brings bacteria, it gets inflamed.

Lavender essential oil has this anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which really helps a lot. When the pimples can grow in an normal environment, without the bacterial help, it will not get worse further.

Secondly, lavender essential oil also help me to sooth and calm my skin, I apply it at night, and my skin get to rest and recover effectively. Somehow, the aroma of the lavender essential oil on my face did improve my sleep. I wake up with more energy and feel good these days. With good sleep, my body get to repair the cells and tissues faster.

I am just sharing based on my personal experience without scientific-proven how it really helps me.

I am truly happy with the effect that Lavender Essential Oil brings to me and exploring what other essential oil can further improve my skin for example lighten the scar and slow down the aging appearance. I am still a newbie here, when I share about my experience in using eo with my friends, most of them have already heard about it and using it. So, do share with me if you are willing to. Hehe.

开心 因为找到了新的玩意

生活就是如此有趣。

喜欢简单的生活，享受生活的每一分每一秒。

前两年的生活节奏太紧，身上的每一条神神经都绷特别特别得紧。

很开心，让自己挪出时间，抛开懒惰和对直销的成见，去听了阿姨找人来分享精油的美好。

当然，自己去之前对精油这玩意是一窍不通，充其量我只能说我知道有芳香疗法这回事，而我对它一点都不感兴趣。我是那种对“香味”特别敏感的人。车里，家里，厕所里，我都不会放清新剂，因为我受不了那些香味。用的护肤品也尽可能是无添加香味的。虽然常常不自禁的觉得那些擦肩而过的女人身上飘来的香水味为她们增添了不少女人为味，但擦在自己身上时，却搞得自己头晕，甚至是头痛。所以，活了30多个年头， 仅拥有过两瓶香水，两瓶都用不超过半瓶。每个女人都爱美，我也不例外。我不是不爱跟风，也不是要与众不同，只是我比较固执，喜欢听从自己的心。我也认为只有当自己活得自在，才能绽放自己的美。

一点点的自我简介，哈哈。

去那个小型家庭式分享会前，自己还做了一些心里准备，告诉自己的身体尽量让自己舒服，希望不会被熏得头晕或头痛。

到了现场，一进入那小房间，就闻到了熏香。阿姨请来的分享人也带来了她的精油，席间我也闻了无数瓶的精油。奇怪的事，身体一点异样都没有，头也不晕。

在暗地里观察自己的身体的同时，我也被那为分享者所分享的亲身体验而吸引。精油就是除了可以用于芳香疗法，还可以涂抹或按摩，作为清洁用途，也可以食用。它的好处更是多不胜数。最吸引我的地方是我们可以自己调出自己需要/想要的秘方。

这一下午的分享会，开启了一道门，让我多了一个游乐场。

回家后，我还是不停的上网搜索有关精油的资料，知道的越多，越想要去尝试。我开了另一个部落格纯粹是分享我的新的兴趣 AROMA around the Castle. 😃😃 城堡里的花艺师跑到另一端玩耍了，这次要让整座城堡都弥漫着芳香。城堡是开放式，只要不打扰到主人家，你都可以随意参观。

很开心因为自己肯让自己接触新事物，更像是自己排斥的事物，还因此找到新的兴趣。

Healthy breakfast

Recently, refrigerator oatmeal has become my favourite daily breakfast. It is easy to prepare, no need to cook. Just throw the ingredients (rolled oats, low-fat milk, low-fat Greek yogurt and dried chia seeds) into the cute little jar and then shake well or stir till they combined. Optionally, you can add on some fruits. Store in the refrigerator overnight and you will have healthy breakfast the next morning.

互敬、互爱、互谅

Saturday afternoon

It has been a while since I last play around with flowers.

Last Saturday, I suddenly had the mood to re-arrange the 2 pots of flowers putting on the TV cabinet.

I re-arranged them into a pot but with 2-way presentation.

I really had a lot of fun playing around with all the flowers!

I was helping my mom to unpack her hampers the other day.

As a reward, I can pick anything I want from the hampers. And I got this...

I brought it to office.

I opened it with care because I knew there is flour. I did that successfully without causing any mess. Unlike when I was a child, I use to get the flour flying all over. ;p

Then I secretly popped one into my mouth and sucked at it happily! It is like when I was a child taking the sweet secretly in order not to let my mom knows. Only different is that I was at office so I would not want my colleagues to caught me eating it! 'x'!!!

However, after taking a few, I decided to share it with my colleague next to me! Hahahaa...I have to hide it in my palms and bring it over to him as though the other kids at the office might see it. He was really surprised by the sweet that I offered! ;p

I got the certificates!

Not sure whether you still remember that I took 2 courses last year, I talked about it here.

And now, I got the certificates! Kekeke

The children development course is quite interesting and I completed all the homework. The Chinese Literature is quite tough. I actually gave up and did not submit homework for the last 2 lessons!! Meaning that I only completed 8/10 of the courses. Hee...I am not sure why I can still get the certificates!

Anyway, let's celebrate!

Week days

Just thought of sharing my week days with you starting from my daily dose of caffeine in the morning!
Nescafe got new products again - Ipoh White Coffee! It is so thick and "arhhh", I give it 5 stars!

Sometimes, if I behaved well, my mil will prepare me with lovely breakfast. For example: the chinese new year cake! Oh, I love it! ;pppp

Yum!!

Lunch at nearby cafe. The heart-shaped panini was my order last Thursday! ^.^ A simple cut and arrangement cheered me up!

Sewing kit

Guess what? Chinese has a lot of custom to follow in a wedding. The bride needs to prepare a lot of things for her dowry. Besides from jewellery and money, there are small items like sewing kit, chicken (for display), slippers, potty and etc. I found the sewing kit the most useful among all. I never know that I can drop so many buttons throughout a year! Luckily, I did not insist to skip buying it. Yeap, I told my mom not to buy all of those useless items just to follow the custom, LOL!

My favourite pearl milk tea

Lunch at 人間茶坊 today. I never miss order the pearl milk tea there. I rate it as Kuching #1 pearl milk tea. Kakakaka!
The milk tea itself is tasted good and not too sweet while the tapioca balls are so chewy! LOVE it!

I will definitely order pearl milk tea to compare when I visit Taiwan next time!

Colours for nails

My small collection of nail polish

I have never really finish a bottle of nail polish before buying new one. The main reason is I seldom apply nail polish on my nails.

This year, I suddenly have the urge to try new colours on my nails, especially those dark colours that I would never want to try when I was younger. For example black, red, purple, blue and green. I used to adore only light pink or nude colours on my fingernails and darker colours, which are close to our skin tone, on my toe nails.

Boring, right?

p/s: 2 out of 4 is gift from Pinkcotton some more. LOL!

I got myself 6 bottles of nail polish in this year. This is not a lot to some of you who loves to decorate yourself. To someone like me who seldom paint my fingernails, I think it is a lot.

Haven't try the blue yet.

I tried black on my toe nails. To me, it is not too outstanding. To my surprise, I can accept the colour quite well. However, whenever baby Cola sees it, he will for sure point at it and makes some noise to attract people. Kekee...I think he does not like it, he thinks it is dirty.

Next, it is the purple nail polish. At first, I am not used to it. It is quite bright and attractive. But later I find it looks nice, a good change to my toe nails which are usually painted in dull dark colours.

Recently, I tried the RED colour. It is not easy to search for. I got mine at thefaceshop. Personally, I painted it on my fingernails, and they look gorgeous! I am just so happy to find the red that I love and suit me! I am going to wear it whenever there is any occasion! Be it someone's wedding, Christmas or Chinese New Year. :)

I am not pro at painting, I know. ;p

Hahahaa...At least I still will go for Lancome product when I want to try something new.

So, I am very interested in finding a liquid foundation that has good coverage yet wont make me look like a clay doll. Recently, I read up a few good reviews on the new liquid foundation - Maquiliquid UV Infinite, it sounds so good that I can hardly resist to give it a try. 'x' Furthermore, its shades and texture is designed and tested for Asian skin.

So, at the counter, I tried the PO-02(yellow shade) and BO-02(pink shade). I got myself a bottle of PO-02. I love it very much! ;p Reasons I love it so much:

1. It is lightweight but can cover up pores.
2. It lasts all day long.
3. It is easy to apply and remove.
4. The colour matches my skin colour very well!

I love the fruit-scented shower gel from TheBodyShop a lot, want to try the body scrub for quite a long time already but just unwilling to spend a few puluh ringgit on it.

What a coincident that I walked pass the shop and noticed that sale was going on.

So, without giving myself another second to think twice, walked into the shop and picked a flavour for my body scrub! Decided to choose mango to be my very first body scrub!

I do not have much expectation after reading some reviews found online! :( Exactly like what I read in one of the review, it is oily. Even after I wash myself with shower gel again, I can still feel myself slippery. The only good thing is that the soft and smooth skin last for a few days. ;p

Like I said before, you do not have to put all the designer items inside your house to make a modern home. Sometimes, a few pieces of the designer items would make your home look totally different.
