werty: No.

werty: yeah, they are so black that you cant find their eyes.

werty: Of course it is a dog.

me: but it looks like a bear! what is its name?

werty: it is Akita - the breed. Japan national dog.

*giggle, never know there is such thing call national dog."

me: ooo...Akita sounds like a brand for electronic goods.

werty: it is 130lbs.

werty: actually it is not my dog. I saw it in a dog show here. I took photos for other dogs too.

Rainforest World Music Festival

Do you enjoy music-listening? I do even though I do not have any musical background. Eh, but does the recorder that I learned back in the primary school days count? keke...

Kekeke...read about the Rainforest World Music Festival in The Star yesterday (oops...outdated news again). The Khac Chi from Vietnam caught my attention.
During my last year in university, CCW and I took the student privilege to buy 2 tickets Rainforest World Music Festival which only costed us RM35 per ticket for daily pass. It was in 2003. The most unforgetable performance is by this Vietnamese couples. Their performance is so lively. Not only they can play a lot of instruments, but they can also play a few of them at one time. Amazing and amusing! @@!

I was there in 2004 but the show was not as interesting. This year, Khac Chi is back! They will be performing on the last day (15th July 2007) from 8:05pm - 9:05pm. Go go GO!!

Protege @ 门徒

Super excited when everyone agreed to watch Protege during CNY this year. Why? Andy Lau!! I remembered ccw bought 18 tickets that night. See, we are so supportive! LOL!

Most of them think that the movie is a good one. However, I think it is just OK lo. MAYBE I have expected to see Andy Lau more in the movie. Sigh...He just appeared once in a while only. =(

Overall, the moral value of the movie is brought out clearly. The ending of the drug traffickers or drug addicts are similar, spend the rest of their lives in jail or living lifelessly like a zombie or die of overdose.

I like Anita Yuan in this movie a lot. Even though Anita does not have too much of shots, but she really acts well in every scene. Every time when she appears, her acting tells you what her character is naturally.

As for Andy Lau's performance, seems like no surprise from him. Opps. It could be because of the too little parts from him or I am too used to him with such a role -- Good, but evil bad man, examples Infernal Affairs @ 无间道 I, II & III.

Anyway, the official website for this movie is not bad. You can get some drug-related information from it.

There is always certain thing that you do not have to try before you realise the effect. Do not be stubborn!

Chin chin's Wedding

Chin Chin is my maternal cousin, my uncle 1's 2nd daughter, please refer to the family tree which I drew last year.

Her wedding was on 2nd June while we attended the bride side dinner on 28th May. She is married to the guy whom she met during the college days. I have only met her husband 3 times before the wedding. Basically I only know that he can sing well as we went to the Karaoke the first time we met each other in Miri. ^_^ I think they have a resemblance to each other, especially their smile. Ah, both of their last names are pronounced as Chin in Mandarin. ;p

The wedding took part in the husband's hometown which is Sibu. Thus, we only managed to attend the bride side dinner at Kuching. It is my first time attending a younger counsin's wedding. Guess there is only one reason for that which is I am getting older! Woo~~

There would be not much photos in this post because I just cant take any nice photo with my shaky hands. haha! But, I must still record this important event!

The dinner was held at The BanQuet. The place is pretty and most suitable for wedding purpose as there is totally no pillar inside the building. Hate it when the pillar block my view from the stage! Mwhehe...However, I think there ought to be special training on the serving skills for the waiter and waitress. There is one incident where the waitress knocked my aunt's head from the back with the plates. LOL! It is worse when she did not even realize that she had knocked my aunt! Hee...several times that I worried the waitress might accidentally pour the leftover onto my head when she tried to clear off the table.

Like any other chinese wedding, my uncle 1, aunt, cousin and the husband were standing at the main entrance to welcome the guests. After all the guests had arrived and seated, the bride and the groom marched into the hall and the dinner began. Yes, there was karaoke since my uncles, aunties and cousins love to sing! Hehehe...I always do not understand why there is no singing gene inherited in my family. Funny! Anyway, there is this Kuching SHE in the family, form by my cousins, well, they are the 3rd daughter of uncle 1 -- Nana, the only daughter of uncle 3 -- Shirley and the only daughter of auntie 5 -- huihui. This is the second time they are on the stage and I think they have improved a lot. At least, they are not as nervous as the time they performed on my grandparents' birthday 2 years ago.

Then, my cousin, Nong, the youngest son of aunt 4 sang too. My first time listened to him singing and I think he sings better than his brother. LOL! Previously his brother is the representative of the family. But now he is working in Singapore, I think he is going to be replaced by this younger brother already. Hehe...

The only son of my youngest uncle -- xing sings the cutest way that night. It is really entertaining watching him sing. Hmm...now I know what it means by "body can sing".

The groom dedicated a song to the bride too. It is Andy Lau's “爱你一万年”. Love the song so much that I ever requested ccw to sing it for me on our wedding! LOL! But too bad, he refused.

Yeap, we have had a wonderful night.

To Chin Chin, even though I miss the chance to see you in white gown, but I believe you look pretty in it. I am glad that you married the man you love. 祝你幸福!
