Gong Fu Tea
We had been to this place twice just to play with the Gong Fu Tea.
Let's look at the tools that you need when brewing the Gong Fu Tea.
From the photo, you will see a clay teapot, small tea cups and the saucers, a strainer, a faircup and a tea tray. On the left, there are optional tools such as wooden tongs and tea needle. There is also a small packet of tea leaf in the center. The tea tray is is used to hold the spill or waste water during the Gong Fu tea ceremony. The strainer on top of the fair cup is to catch the small tea leaf to be poured into the faircup. Faircup is to hold the tea inside the teapot after filling up the tea cups. The wooden tongs is used mostly when washing/rinsing the tea cups with the boiling water. Tea needle is used to pick the spout when it is blocked or during the cleaning process.
Of course, you need a kettle. =)

Mr Bear
Mr. Bear loves to drive. His job is to deliver messages by tying them on the balloons at the back of the car.
One day, Mr. Bear returned home with big earrings. I am not sure how much does Mr. Bear like the earrings, but his new image really makes my day!

9th July 2007, Hong Kong
We skipped the breakfast provided by hotel. In fact, the hotel only provided breakfast for a person. It charges HK$20 per pax. Fair but we had enough of hotel breakfast already, and I longed to try the local breakfast!
We chose a nearby cafe and ordered cheese + ham sandwiches, butter toast and a bowl of macaroni in soup with ham. Nothing fancy! ;p
After breakfast, we took the citybus at central to Ocean Park.
It was a Monday and the queue was already so long. Can you imagine the queue when it is weekend? Luckily, there are a few buses. It took us less than half an hour to get on board.
After 20 minutes ride, we reached Ocean Park, which is celebrating its 30th Anniversary.
Ocean Park is so much bigger compare to Disneyland. We only spent half a day in there. We only walk horse see flower, unlike in disneyland, we get to take all the rides and so on. Among all the crazy rides, we 2 only dare to try on the raging river. We spent 30 minutes to queue up for the Raging River, and the ride only lasted less than 10 minutes. ;p

The Amazing Birds Show. The owl looks scary!
Giant Panda exhibit! JUMP JUMP JUMP! We got to meet the 2 young pandas: Le Le and Ying Ying. They are so cute! If you would like to know more about the pandas, click here.
Sky Fair. The hot air balloons are so colourful. Sigh, we missed the time to go onto it.
Atoll Reef, a four-storey aquarium contains more than 2000 fishes.
Finally, we came to the Ocean Theater to watch the famous show performed by dolphins and sea lions!
We left ocean park after the show and picnic at Golden Bauhinia Square.

We watched the flag-lowering instead of the flag-raising ceremony.
We took a ride on the tram! Quite interesting.
Dinner @ 镛记 (Yong Kee) which located at at Wellington Street, Central. There are a lot of people. They gave us a number and asked us to wait for our turn. We ordered the roasted goose and it was really really delicious!
We had the mango dessert as supper @ 许留山. It is everywhere and we gave it a try since kennysia recommended the place in his blog previously. The mango only reminded me how juicy and nice smell that we had in Bangkok!
Lastly, look who is on the bamboo scaffolding?!
Come to think of it, why they never want to use the steel scaffolding, was it because of Jacky Chan has made the bamboo scaffolding famous? And If they change it to steel scaffolding, then they might lose their identity as Hong Kong?

Weddings on rainy days
Alex's Wedding
It was my nephew, Alex's wedding (my dad's elder bro's grandson) last Friday. I went over during lunch time. At first, I thought they might serve tea to their aunty, ME. But, by the time we reached there, the tea ceremony has already completed. Did not take much photos of the wedding as I was busy to find out who are my relatives. There are so many relatives that I have never met before.
During the dinner reception that night, ccw and I were arranged to sit behind the main table. CCW started to ask me who is who, and my answer to most of the questions are "I dunno". Shame shame, right? Good thing is I get to know more relatives after that day. Phew~
Colleague's Wedding
It was still raining on Saturday.
I were invited to my colleague's wedding at Pustaka that morning.
As usual, malay's wedding will always have the very nicely decorated stage.
The lunch served.
With that, it marks the end of the weddings that I have attended in 2007. There are supposed to be 10, but I miss 2 of the weddings as they were fallen within the 4 months after my own wedding. According to ccw's grandmother, the newly wed couples shall not attend other's weddings within the first 4 months of their marriage.

8th July 2007, Hong Kong
We had breakfast at hotel restaurant. As I mentioned in my previous post, we stayed at Dorsett SEAVIEW Hotel, but I only managed to find the seaview from the restaurant in betweens the building. So kelian, the hotel should consider to change the name.
After the breakfast, we took MTR to Tung Chung Station and then took a bus to Ngong Ping.
Look! The BIG buddha statue.
AND look at the staircases! OMG!
Turned to look at CCW, talked to him with my eyes.
"Do you think we should climb up to the top?"
Ccw replied me verbally: "Well, we are not neccssary to go up to the top. We can just take some photos around."
Me: "Hee...ok, let's go"
So, we walked up the staircases slow and steady while taking photos.
Actually, it is not that difficult to go up, but you just cant avoid from sweating. Luckily, it is windy up there. ;p

Yeap, the thought of "since we were halfway up there, why not climb to the top" keep us moving forwards.
Then, we took the bas back to the bus station. The next stop would be Lantau Link Visitor Centre and Viewing Platform where we can get a good view of Tsing Ma Bridge.
Unluckily we got on the wrong bus. Uncle Bus told us to get down the bus at a condominium where we can view the bridge. He also told us there will be another bus take us out from there in 15 minutes. We only spent like 3 minutes to finish taking photos of the bridge.

We decided not to waste time waiting for the next bus and hired a taxi to send us to the tram station to go up to The Peak. Mr Taxi has a pet bird inside the taxi, it sang all the way to the tram station. And that ride costs us HK$250 (including the toll fee)! $.$
Anyway, let's move on to The Peak.

Next, Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum. All the wax in the museum looks real, especially the eyes. But there is this special one, Brad Pitt. He looked bitter!
Worst of all, ccw told everyone HOW unwilling Brad Pitt was when taking photo with me. HMPH! Even wax also does not like me :(
But I do not care. Andy Lau is more important. ;p
Hong Kong trip would not be completed without a photo with Andy Lau even though he is just a wax. There are a lot of other celebrities, but I choose to publish ccw's and my idol here only.
At night, we visited Causeway Bay. We accidently came across this cafe called Mak's Noodle (麥奀雲吞麵世家). It sells very yummy wonton noodles and also congee!!!!!! Still not sure how to pronounce the second chinese character of the shop name, but that gives you the idea that the portion serve is not big. We ordered 2 bowls of wonton noodles and then another bowl of yacht congee.

We continued to look see look see, there are many shopping malls around.
Before we went back to the hotel, we bought some mantis prawn at Temple Street.
HK$38. Hee...somehow I think they look like siu kiong (crockroach)! ;p
Lastly, let me show you the hotel room.
It is small, the width of the room is enough for a queen size bed and a space enough for a person to move around. It implies that land is expensive in Hong Kong! 'x'
