10 years relationship

Preface: This post is dedicated to CPH!

CPH and Winnie started dating each other since 10 years ago and just tied the knot on 05.06.2010. Good date! It is so easy to remember, same numbers that appear in my birth date. Mwhehe...now they do not have excuse to forget my birthday. ^.^

I am truly happy for the couple. I really had a good time on their wedding day.

During the dinner, a gang of us went up to the stage and sang Peng You to "show off" our friendships. When fui asked me whether I want to say something on the stage before we went up, I told her no problem. But we did not say anything on the stage except for singing. Now, I would like to take this opportunity to say it here.

I know Winnie since in Transition class. We were never close back then, just the type of friend you nod and smile when you saw each other. Then in Form 6, since we are from the same school, we got together automatically and becomes real friends.

As for CPH, I remembered that I got to know this guy by his name before knowing who is he. When Form 6 first started, Amy told me that she has a friend from church studying Form 6 in our school. She hope that we can make friends with him as he is very lonely there. So, I tried to find this guy named CPH and told ccw, okk and phin about it during the orientation week. I forgot how we approached him but later we were all in the same class. Nevermind, the important point here is I love to remember the part that made him sounds like pity to be in new school. I am sure he does not like this part at all. But, this is like fate. Why of all the other new students, Amy will ask me to look for this guy? If not for her to mention his name, maybe we might not pay attention to him and we will never be close friends like now.

And, funny thing is, he has quite a number of friends from his previous school coming to our school too. He is not lonely at all! I know...it is fate that brings him to Winnie! ;p

Once again, congratulations to CPH and Winnie. :)

p/s: I wanted to post this earlier, but really cant find the time to touch my blog lately.

The gift

The Gift by Cecilia Ahern. It is a good read. Towards the last few chapters, I just could not put it down. It might not be the best book written by Cecilia Ahern but I think the message in this book makes the readers to think.

Chapter 11: The juggler

Gabe asked Lou: "You any good in juggling?"

Gabe: "I'm not a good juggler, but it's not really juggling if I'd already chosen to drop those others and keep this one in my hand, is it?"

How to be a good juggler in life? Parents, spouse, children, friends and career, which one would you choose? I doubt I could be any good juggler. How to be a good daughter, a good wife, a good mom,a good friend, and a good employee at the same time?

The sad ending makes me tears. Well, I cried easily when comes to watching movies or reading books. ;p

Rice Dumpling @ Bak Zhang

Last Sunday, my MIL participated in a "bao bak zhang" competition @ Hills Shopping Mall. She has never entering any competition before but was attracted by the buffalo cookware, all participants are entitled for 50% discount on pressure cooker.

I think the competition is very interesting. All the participants prepare the ingredients at home and then wrap 5 bak zhang on the spot within 15 minutes. They also bring along 3 cooked bak zhang with them. The judges evaluates the bak zhang based on the 3 criteria: Taste(50%), shape(40%) and decoration(10%).

I am here presenting to you the 3rd place winner - my mil's bak zhang. She did not expect it at all. Kekeke...
