Taiwan Trip Oct 2010 - Shopping

Hmm...I wish to do day by day post or at least a detail long post about it.

By judging the free time I have, I do not think I can do it that way.

So, let me start it with shopping first!

What are the things that you should not miss in Taiwan?

1. Shoes! Ladies shoes are cheap and nice. Not sure how durable it is though. But one thing for sure they are fashionable! A pair of flats is like RM20 and a pair of heels is about RM40. However, I found that the Taiwanese got small feet! So, if you are wearing size 7 or 8, then you will need some luck to find your shoes. For the shoes, I found mine at Taipei City Mall - 台北地下街。

2. Umbrella! There so many types of umbrellas with different design and features! There are automatic (press the button on handle and the canopy will open and press again, the canopy will collapse) umbrellas, windproof umbrellas, heat protection umbrellas, UV protection umbrellas and some prevent flounce, light. Prices are vary depends on the feature, fabric used for the canopy and materials used for the ribs. They are not cheap but still you will feel like to bring at least one back. They are just pretty. I bought mine at Elista - 诚品.

3. Facial mask! One should seriously do some survey at local phamarcies before going to Taiwan. Then you will know what mask is cheap to get! ;) From time to time, Cosmed - 康是美 offers different promotion for certain mask.

4. Books! You know the price normally show at the back cover of a book is the price that sell in Taiwan. Did not buy any! Haha...Because books are too heavy to carry back and I did not have time to look for it. Abit regret!

Those are the things that I think one should not miss! :)

Saturday afternoon

It has been a while since I last play around with flowers.

Last Saturday, I suddenly had the mood to re-arrange the 2 pots of flowers putting on the TV cabinet.

I re-arranged them into a pot but with 2-way presentation.

View 1:
It looked like this before I re-arranged it.

View 2:

No photo of how it looks like before I do something onto it.

I really had a lot of fun playing around with all the flowers!

He has never fail to surprise me

This morning, when we were lazying on the bed.

Aden: *pointing to the wall lamp above* Mommy, na ge shi shen me lai de? (Mommy, what is that?)
Mommy: *wondering why he asked since he knows what it is so long ago* na ge?! (That one?!)
Aden: *nodding his head* Ah.
Mommy: Deng. (Lamp.)
Aden: Oh, wo yi wei ni jiao wo, Aden! (Oh, I thought you are calling me, Aden!)

Deng and Aden, so my son thought that they sound similar.

I will go like this -.-" if it is a cold joke told by a friend. However, it comes out from my son's mouth! I am very surprised by how he always manage to relate things with each other.

Little Shoes

I was clearing my son's stuff. First, I started off with his shoes. Before they are being given away, I snapped a photo and do a post to record them all.

The middle brown booties at the front row is his first shoes if it is also considered as shoes. He still cant walk when wear that. That's why it is clean.

The black shoes at the back row is for his first birthday party. It is shiny. I remember how everyone praising his shoes but he still does not know how to walk yet.

He starts to walk when he is 16mo. I thought of to buy him the pair of jeans shoes for him which make a fun squeak sound as he walks. However, his feet grows so fast that he cant fit in the shoes by the time he learns to walk. LOL

So we bought him the sandals (front row) which also squeaks.

The nike shoes at the back row is bought before Chinese New Year 2010. Where as the other pair of Combi shoes is bought by my bro in Macau. I have totally forgotten that shoes until I open the drawer and found it. Sayang lo, I think Aden did not wear it more than 10 times lo.

Actually, there are another 2 pairs of shoes that are not in the photo which are given by my friends. But Aden had never wear those 2 pairs, so I did not put them in. ;p

Another Lancome Product that I ♥

UV-Expert GN-Shield High Potency Active Protection BB Base SPF 5O PDA+++ High UVA PPD. In short, it is the Lancome UV Epert BB base.

What is it?
"Lancome's first breakthrough active shield with a revolutionary shade to provide ideal instant skin fairness and evenness, correct imperfections and undull skin. Upon daily application at the end of your skincare routine, skins look rejuvenated. UV-induced brown spots, blemishes and fine lines look reduced. Intensely protected, moisturised, complexion looks younger and instantly fairer, glowing with transparency."

I was told it can be used alone without foundation. On certain lazy days, you just need to apply this BB base and pat on with some powder, then you are ready to go out. It is impressive.

So, I tried. It does pretty good job. I really can see the "glowing with transparency" on my face which I really love. Of course, it provides enough coverage to the redness, brown spots, blemishes and fine lines. Now if you remember Lancome Maquiliquid UV Infinite which I recommended last year and if you had tried that and wished to get something even lighter, I think you will like this BB base.

The before & after photos:

The reason I love it;
  1. Easy to apply compare to Lancome Maquiliquid UV Infinite. Just apply it like any sunscreen.
  2. It is like 2 in 1 - Sunscreen + Foundation. Save time in applying and money (Lancome Maquiliquid UV Infinite = RM130 and Lancome UV-Expert Neuroshield = RM143)
So far, I tried Skin79 BB cream. To compare the two, this Lancome UV-Expert BB Base texture is quite fluid and make it easier to apply. It is lightweight which I think Skin79 BB cream cannot compete with. The colour is fairer compare to Skin79 BB cream and match my skin tone very well!

Now, I have one new Lancome Maquiliquid UV Infinite for sale! Anyone interested?! Please feel free to contact me! ;p
