Nephew Bulat is turning 3!

So, the dad ask Bulat what he wants for birthday present. As usual, he asked my bro to say it. Then, my bro asked him whether he wants a badminton racket? Bulat replied to him OK right away. My bro told us that he drove him to the shop and asked him to see whether the shop selling any rackets, and Bulat was extremely happy to see rackets displayed inside the shop. LOL.

Then they came back with a new racket. My bro told him that he threw away the badminton rackets that I bought him few months back as they are rusty already. This Bulat is so polite and came to me explaining why his papa threw away the rackets I bought him -.-"

Back to 080808, everyone in the house was crazy about Lee Chong Wei in the Olympic Games. That's when Bulat started to play with badminton. He wanted to play with the big rackets but he always hit other stuves. He urged the parents to buy him a racket. But the parents did not. On one morning, he cried for the racket. My aunt searched around the nearby shops and bought him the first pair of plastic rackets for him where the string is replaced with a plastic paper. Just a few days later, the plastic paper torn. Then, he got another pair of plastic rackets with string from I-forgot-who.

It did not last long as Bulat used it to hit on floor. Finally, they have no choice but to let him had the BIG racket. It is really dangerous if you see him with the big racket. LOL...So, I went search for the children rackets for him. He has been using the rackets until last Sunday. 'x'!!

Sometimes, he even followed the dad to badminton court.

He is very good in doing backhand serve, but he cannot return the shuttle. So basically, if you played badminton with this kid, you would have to be very patient because the shuttle will never return to you after you hit over to him!

Happy Birthday to you, Bulat!

Baby Seat

Have been looking for an affordable and suitable high chair for baby Cola, but we cannot find any yet. Then, last Friday, we noticed the cute Bumbo baby seat which available in a few colour like blue, green, purple, yellow and lime green. It is soft. When I tried to put baby Cola inside it, he looked happy and comfortable. So, we decided to get this instead of a high chair.

I love this baby seat. We now can enjoy the feeding time. :) Since it is lightweight, I bring it over to my mom's place on weekends too. In short, I think it is a perfect innovation if using it in a correct way. Like what the instrustion says never use the Bumbo Baby Seat on any elevated surface and never leave a baby unattended in a Bumbo Baby seat because babies can get out of a Bumbo -- it is not a restraint.

8-months-old

Physical:
Weight: 9.2kg
Height: 72cm

Sleep:
Sleep at around 8:30pm. Still wake up at least 2 times at night for milk.

Feeding:
Drink 5oz of milk every 3 hours.
Have porridge for lunch and dinner.
Take apple, grape or banana everyday.
Bite/Suck biscuit sometimes.

Interesting parts:
  • He has 4 teeth now. 2 front teeth grow on the upper gum. Having very bad sleeping pattern at night. Wake up and refuse to go back to sleep. Poor papa and mama.
  • Brought him to Popular Bookstore, he loves books. We flipped the book, and he also want to feel and touch the book. When I put the book back, he cried for it
  • He can say "mam mam", "nen nen", "kong kong".
  • He can sit for 10-15 minutes without support and with a toy in hands or with someone playing with him.
  • He learns to play with the musical toy from pink cotton and mr. goober. Earlier, he cant push the button, now he is very good at it.
  • He loves the baby gym bought by adipos and daisy too! You can see him busy catching the balls with hands and kicking the balls run to his legs at the same time.
  • He likes Bulat more. You can see his eyes following Bulat everywhere, and sometimes I found him smiling when watching Bulat.
  • Introduced lil moo moo to him. He wanted to touch the baby and made a lot of sound when first met the baby. My sil said only a few days, it seemed like he has grown up so much and naughtier.
  • Learn to play with the eyes. When we called him, he will smile and blink his eyes.
  • As for crawling, he can only move a little bit forward by doing the commando crawl.
  • He is getting naughtier during the bath time. He always tries to stand up. Every time after finish bathing and carrying him out from the tub, he will cry. He still wants to play with the water.
  • He took the second dosage of pneumococcal vaccination. This time, I asked ccw to hold his hands in case he tried to struggle. Again cried out loud when he got poked, with pitiful face, pouting lips and 2 small yet big enough eyes, he kept looking at the doctor in puzzled as if asking the doctor why you want to hurt me? Also, as usual, he has fever after the injection. As expected, we had to feed him the medicine syrup by force.

Remarks:
Dear Baby Cola, many times I have explained to you that all the vaccinations are good for you, I just hope you can understand we are not hurting you. Yes, both papa and mama got very heartache every time we saw you crying because of pain, but we want you to grow up healthily. So, let's be brave together! :)

In the middle of the night

Times when I do not know whether to be happy or angry, to laugh or to cry...

When baby Cola awakened in the middle of the night and practicing the words "pa-pa" and "ma-ma" inside his baby cot.

When baby Cola awakened in the middle of the night, peeping from his cot and laughing happily when his eyes met mine.

When baby Cola awakened in the middle of the night, playing with his lips and tongue and saliva, making noises which you know he is enjoying himself.

Homemade Salad

Once in a while, I am interested in preparing food myself.
Made this salad at 4 points lunch buffet! Hahaha...

Am wondering how to make a tasty dressing for the green salad. I remember I saw this recipe somewhere: mix olive oil, lemon juice and salt. Shall test it out when there is a holiday!

Welcome Home!

Lil moo moo is discharged last night. He reached home at around 7:45pm!

He kept smiling as if he knew that he is safe at home. Aww...

My mom looked at Bulat and told us that now with Didi at home, he looked like real big bro. 'x'

Nephew Bulat is really a good boy, we told him not to shout or talk loudly, and he did like what we said. But then, he forgot and slammed the door close. Haha!

Also, nephew Bulat thinks that his Didi looks like him. Ho ho ... But I think the Didi looks very much like the mother. Too bad, I cannot take his photo until he is one-month-old. Please be patient!

Waiting for our lovely lil moo moo

So, I will call my new nephew as moo moo, I hope he is going to be as strong as a cow. At the moment, our lovely lil moo moo is still in hospital. Doctor diagnosed that he got lung infection a few hours after he is born. It has been a week now, yet, we have not got the chance to hold the baby!

He is improving everyday. I just hope that he can go home soon.

On the other hand, nephew Bulat must be a little confused. We told him that mummy went deliver baby and will bring didi home soon. But, till now, he has not meet his didi. I explained to him didi is sick and told him not to disturb didi when he is back. He seemed to understand a bit.

Me: Bulat, didi is sick.
Bulat: Why?
Me: Didi cannot breath properly. When he breath, he feels pain on his chest.
Bulat: Why?
Me: Because didi is sick la!
Bulat: Why?
Me: @#$%^&*!

Me: Bulat, you know how is didi?
Bulat: You say..
Me: He is like baby Cola when he is small, you remember?
Bulat: You say..
Me: He just lie on bed and sleep. Remember?
Bulat: You say..
Me: He ehhh most of the time, remember?
Bulat: You say..
Me: You cannot go disturb him ok? He is sick.
Bulat: You say..

I think he is thinking by himself while repeating the same questions. I believe that he knows what I am talking about, just that he do not know how to express himself.

Anyway, I got 2 nephews now and love them both as much as I love baby Cola.

Welcome, nephew #2!

Hehehehe, I have yet to think of a nick for my nephew #2 to appear on this blog yet.

Just went to hospital visiting him at around 10pm. He has not yet open his eyes.

Little Bulat is so pity. He wanted to see his little brother, but need to wait for another day or two. The old folks think it is better not to bring him to the hospital.

I think nephew #2 is fairer. I have a feeling that he got 2 big eyes too. He has more hair volume compare to baby Cola and Bulat when they were newborns.

Might show you some photos if I got the permission from the parents. ;p

Ideas on Full Moon gift

Finally I got a taste of the full moon gift pack done by Gift Idea. Previously, I helped my friends to promote their gift pack to my colleagues and if you still remember, I blog about it too.

Overall, the gift pack customised by my colleague is not bad! It cheers me up.

Show you what ccw got first.

Look at the little cupcake, it has not only got the look but also yummy taste. The fruit tarts and swiss rolls tasted good too. No comment for the banana muffin, as I do not like banana flavour. Also, I did not take the egg, but all eggs shall taste the same, I guess!

Now, let me show you what I got!

Hehehehe I told you, they cheer me up! They are too tempting! Good thing that I save the cute, sweet baby blue cup cake for the last! Otherwise, I have nothing to show you in my pack! ;p If you look at the photo carefully, you will notice that I have already taken out the cupcake from its holder!

On the other notes, ccw got another full moon gift. It is a delicious pandan cake topped with fruits. Parents' task is getting tougher! Haha

Mother's Day gift

The daddy bought this on behalf of baby Cola for the mummy. What should the daddy get on Father's Day?!

This year, we have non-stop dinners for mothers: my mother, my grandmother, my mother-in-law, my grandmother-in-law, myself.

Last night, ccw's aunts told me that one son is not enough. We should have at least a daughter. Reason being is only daughter will celebrate Mother's day for you. Sigh, if only baby girl is guaranteed for the next pregnancy...'x'!

When baby Cola was 7-months-old

Physical:
Weight: 9kg
Height: 70cm
We measured the above by ourselves.

Sleep:
Sleep at around 8:30pm. We noticed that he started to change, he wakes up at 12midnight and 4 or 5 in the morning. This is really good for the daddy! 'x'

Feeding:
Milk
Drink 5oz every 3 hours.

Biscuits
My mil gives him biscuits in the morning.

Porridge
Just introduce porridge to him. At first, he does not really like it. But after a few days, he can take 2-3 big spoons of it per meal already. The ingredients for the yummy porridge includes a piece of meat, half a potato, carrot and a small dry scallop. He has porridge for lunch and dinner.

Fruits
He tried apple, banana and grape already.

Bread and Bun
He loves bread and bun! I gave him the bun served at KFC and Hartz Chicken. We ever order bread for him when we go out for meal too. LOL.

Interesting facts:
  • His first tooth surfaced on the first week of the 7th month. He has not much trouble with the teeth growing. He is just a little bit fussy at night.
  • He got his 2nd tooth on the last week of the 7th month. Now he has 2 little precious teeth at the lower gum.
  • He can say "pa", "ma", "da".
  • If the daddy walked out the bedroom without bringing him together in the early morning, he will cry. His daddy will carry him to downstairs in the morning and he just get used to it already.
  • He enjoys eating solid food. He swings his legs in the air when eating. LOL.
  • He can actually make noises to ask you to give him more food.
  • Sometimes, when I am eating food while carrying him, he will "kiss" me on the lips just to have a taste on the food!
  • He is using a walker already! He can move backward, but not forward yet.
Remarks:
He used to pout when strangers carried him, but he pouts and cries when being kissed by stranger too! LOL. Fui met baby Cola for the first time after coming back from Singapore and decided not to carry him, as we know he will pout. So, she naughtily planted a kiss on his cheek, this baby Cola never give face and immediately pouted following with his cries.

A day in KL on Last Saturday

Touched down at LCCT at 11:00am.

Took a taxi to 1 Utama.

Had Japanese lunch buffet at Shogun.

It's worth the price. Very satisfying! Comparing to the Jogoya lunch buffet on Monday afternoon, I have more time to enjoy this time. Anyway, I think Jogoya still serve better food than Shogun.

Spent some time inside Jusco, ccw bought something for himself.

Spent some time inside Toy R Us and chose a birthday gift for nephew Bulat. I cannot show you what I got for him yet. But it is operated with batteries again! My dad has been warning me not to get him any toy that needs battery, as Bulat always finished the battery within 3 days. 'x'!!!!

Outside Toy R Us, cute mini Toy-in-an-Egg vending machines are lined up in row. *AHEM* I was very much attracted by them! Ccw exchanged the tokens for me and I successfully got the mini toys that I wished from 2 machines! So lucky!
Left: a cow, accessory for handphone. The 2 front legs of the cow are movable!
Right: Thomas and Friends train #1. It is rubbery soft!

Helped my mom to buy 2 pairs of colouful slippers outside Capitol Hotel.

Went to Pavilion to buy J.Co Donuts and Mr. Baoz.

Baby donuts from J.Co. Yummy!

The child featured on Mr. Baoz box is so cute la! Love the curly hair.

Back to Time Squares and queued up for Krispy Kreme donuts! I got a free glazed donut. Gosh, it is so sweet. I still ordered a dozen of the glazed donuts and another dozen of the assorted donuts.

Exhausted.

Enjoy ourselves at Starbucks.

Took monorail to KL Central at 5:45pm.

Loomed to KLIA by Express Train.

Took taxi to LCCT.

Flew back to Kuching at 7:50pm.

Reached Kuching at 9:30pm with a big bags of donuts and pao!

Thanks to CCW for the special birthday treat! At first, a day trip to KL sounds abit crazy, but then it is quite relaxing to get to become a kid again, enjoy the food slowly and being "kiasu" girl to try Krispy Kreme donuts!

Take a stroll around Pustaka lake side

We took baby Cola to Pustaka over the long weekend, introduced him to the lake and ducks.

Trying to plant as many trees as possible in my blog.
Too bad we ran out of battery, I had to use my handphone to take photos for the day. Still manage to take the happy moment of baby Cola.
Hibiscus is seldom to be found nowadays. White hibiscus is rare.
