My little toddler @ 16-months-old
He loves to walk. He can now walk to every corner in the house. Amazing, people around told me that when the little boy starts learn to walk, it is very fast for them to master it. I was still doubt about it. Now, I know they are true! My little toddler did it in less than 2 weeks time.
He loves to read. If you gave him a book or a paper with words, he can point at the words and start reading in his own language! Haha
He loves to take photo. If he got your handphone or anything that looks like a handphone to him, he will put near to his eyes and say "xiao xiao" (SMILE!). I think he learnt this from Bulat!
He knows which shirt belongs to who. One day, when I was chatting with Esther, she told me about her colleague's 1yo baby can differentiate the clothes, and then we discovered that Aden can do that too! Oh...they are observant little babies!
He can dance and sing. So far, he knows a few song and can follow a words or two in lyrics. For certain song, he can do sound effect. Hahaha..For examples:
Song #1
一只哈巴狗,坐在大門口,眼睛黑黝黝,想吃肉骨頭
We sing the lyrics, he will make the "ong ong" (dog barks) sound after every phrase. But sometimes, you can hear him singing something then suddenly "ong ong", if you pay more attention, he is actually singing the lyrics like "hei you you" then followed by "ong ong".
Song #2
When he heard the song twinkle, twinkle little star, he will show you how the star twinkle by using his little hand. And recently, I noticed that he is trying to sing along whenever I sing the song.
Song #3
妹妹背著洋娃娃,走到花園來看花,娃娃哭了叫媽媽,樹上小鳥笑哈哈。
Sometimes he can follow the mama and haha part.
Song #4
小老鼠,上燈臺,偷吃油,下不來,喵喵喵,貓來了,叽哩咕噜滚下来.
He knows how to sing the miao miao miao, mao lai liao part.
He is getting slimmer, around 10.5kg. He grows taller, around 82cm.
He easily cries when get scolded/when you speak harshly/louder to him. He will cried pitifully whenever got scolded because of doing something he knows that it is wrong. My bro was fixing lil moo moo's stroller the other day, Aden walked near and played with the dirty wheel. My bro wanted to stop him and speak to him in a different tone, and Aden was startled. He paused and looked at my bro. I knew that my son was going to cry if my bro continue to nag on him. So, I told my bro to look what he had done to my son and asked him to speak in a better tone. LOL! When my bro and mom turned to look at Aden, his face was turning all red. Then it was my bro's turn not knowing what to do until Aden called him softly "Jiu-jiu~"! My bro then told him not to touch the dirty wheel in the softest and most gentle voice he can make. Then, they are friends again. Very funny.
He will correct himself when he called someone wrongly, like calling popo as mummy or papa as mummy. He will quickly call you again with the correct title. But there was once, when he saw my sil, he called her "waipo". He knews it was wrong, so he called again, but he called "mummy". He tried very hard to get it correct but kept repeating between waipo and mummy. He got so tensed up and ended up I was scolded by my mom for not telling him what to call and made him so kelian!

The 3rd Weekend - New Year!
Happy 2010!!
What did you do on new year eve?
On Thursday night, we went out and celebrated fui fui's birthday at a Korean restaurant at Jalan Song. We planned to go to Barsaga at first. We did not make any reservation and the place was quite fully booked except for some sofa seat. The "tauke" managed to give us a table inside his prescious wine room though, but warning us not to let Aden run around! 'x' Oh well! My boy is a toddler. However, after looking through the limited menu on NYE, the birthday girl decided to go somewhere else. Also, there is no high chair for Aden. So, we moved to Courtyard! It is full house. It was getting late. We were still deciding where to go. End up, we went to Pizza Hut at Jalan Song. It was quite crowded too. Phin then suggested to go to the Korean restaurant. Mwhehee...A special way to celebrate NYE.
When I got home, I was very tired. CCW asked me to watch the countdown program together, but I was already half sleeping on bed dy! LOL...
For the next few days, all I can remember is shopping, watching a movie, shopping and shopping! Yay, I found myself back in the beginning of 2010! Hmm..it does not sound like a good news to anyone though! I don't know, I keep buying clothes, but when ccw asked whether I have bought enough for CNY? My answer is NO! 'x'!!!!

Bulat's first day to sCHOOL!
I am expecting him to cry, but I heard from my mom this morning that he just waved goodbye to his parents after settled down on his little chair. Hmm...
Last night, my bro gave us each a small packet of keropok (junk food). Bulat, as usual, requested for a packet. My bro gave him a packet and told him to bring to school the next day. Bulat was delighted but after a second he told his dad that he do not know how to open the packet! So my bro told him that he can always get the teacher's help. Bulat was then happily put the packet into his bag.
Later, my mom talked about packing bread for Bulat to bring to school tomorrow and overheard by him. He quickly told my mom that he is going to bring keropok and he eats that will do, no need to bring bread.
Hahahaa...he is so cute.

2nd long weekend - Christmas Break
To make the 2nd long weekend even LONGER, I started to take leave from work since Wednesday! Kekeke...
We made a short trip to Singapore. It is a family trip, with my parents-in-law and an aunt.
This is my first time using JetStar, overall, I think it is not bad, at least the canopy is provided, unlike AirAsia.
It took about an hour to fly from Kuching to Singapore, and it took another hour for us to get through the immigration. There were long queues at every counter, yes they open up every counter -.-". The hall is full and they have to off the escalator as people are queuing all the way up on the escalator. The Christmas decoration and the super grand sale must be really attractive! It is a torture for parents who had to queue up for an hour. There is another couples with their little daughter behind us. The little girl is so sweet that she gave Aden a packet of biscuit when she herself was hungry. How thoughtful she is! The parents are tall and good looking. I overheard their conversation that they are going visit the little girl's gugu too. Erm, OK, I must blog a bit about what I see during the 1 hour queue!
Dinner @ hawker food center: Curry Fish Head! Scallop + broccoli! Yum!!
After dinner, off we went to Orchard Road to join the crowd and feel the Christmas atmosphere. We met up with my bro, sil and bulat there who happened to be in Singapore at that time too. We took some photos along Orchard Road then went home. The MRT was so packed. We decided to take a cab. Gosh, all the cabs were on call! We got no choice but to take a long route to get home using MRT. Seriously, I salute to all Singaporean parents who depends on MRT as their vehicles.
On Christmas eve, we(ccw, Aden & I) stayed back at home in the morning, so that Aden could take his morning nap and enjoy himself to the fullest when we go to Sentosa Island in the afternoon. Lyn and KK fetched us to Vivocity and lunched at Carl's Junior. Aden was very curious towards the way we dipped the fries into the chili sauce before eating. He wanted to try it, he put his fries near to the sauce for a few times but never touch the sauce. It is very funny.
Then, that afternoon we spent time at the Underwater World.
Thinking sure Aden will get very excited as there are so many fishes. But my son was cool! He did not have much expression except the curious look. Aiks. Anyway, the Underwater World still look the same after so many years!
Except that I saw how they feed the big fishes...

We watched thedolphinseal performance as well. I do not find it interesting though. I wonder why there is no dolphin?!
Went back to Vivocity and spent some time finding the exit to the MRT station. Poor Aden was so tired and fell asleep. It was quite late when we reached home. Aden slept the night through without taking bath. I had dinner at 10pm that night! Life in Singapore is hectic. ROF!
Friday, it is the Christmas Day! We went out at around 11am and took a cab to Marina Square. Stopped by at Fox for kids. Picked a few items on sale and went to counter, realised that they offer another 15% off from the total bill if using certain credit card! You can tell how happy I was! LOL!
After doing some shopping, we went over to the Marina Mandarin.
The colourful bear-bear Christmas tree.

We went to Bugis and did another round of shopping. It is not easy to shop in the crowd, especially when I do not have anything on my shopping list. So, we just walked around and hunted for anything that is WORTH to buy. Hahah...
At night, we had pepper rice at Ang Mo Kio. I forgot the name of the shop, but the pepper rice is served on a hot plate. You need to "cook" the food yourself. Woo...after frying the french bean for a minute, I started to wonder why they do not cook it for me! Opps...But, the food is tasty, maybe I cooked it, that is why it is tasty! :)
We left on Saturday afternoon. We spent the morning doing packing. Aden was very tired. He slept quite a lot on Saturday. He slept while we lunch at airport, in the aeroplane and also after reached home. I do not know why but I feel heartache to see him being dragging around during this trip.
Anyway, it is the end of the trip.
