Sewing kit

Guess what? Chinese has a lot of custom to follow in a wedding. The bride needs to prepare a lot of things for her dowry. Besides from jewellery and money, there are small items like sewing kit, chicken (for display), slippers, potty and etc. I found the sewing kit the most useful among all. I never know that I can drop so many buttons throughout a year! Luckily, I did not insist to skip buying it. Yeap, I told my mom not to buy all of those useless items just to follow the custom, LOL!

My 2009

Just browse through my 2009 posts, I love reading them. Hahah...

2009, is basically a year watching my son growing up from a little baby to become a little toddler. I am really glad that I manage to record the monthly development of my son. I can always refer back when did my son learn to crawl, walk and speak the first word. I seriously encourage parents to do so! :) Those posts would certainly become my treasure 20 years later.

2009, is about flying! I flew to KL 5 times last year - twice for personal trips, twice for company trips, and once for transit. Flying with Aden twice, first time to Penang and second time to Singapore. Flying with friends once to Bali. With that, I told ccw not to simply plan any trip in 2010. However, each of the trips brings back lotsa good memories. First trip to KL with my mom is the first time I separated with my son for a few days. Second trip to KL with my husband is exciting as it was a day trip! I can still recall how relax it was without bringing any luggage for that trip! As for the business trips, I really learnt a lot from that particular colleague! First trip with Aden to Penang is quite fun. Second trip with Aden to Singapore is quite hectic. The trip to Bali with friends is fantastic which make me feel young again! :)

2009, I started a small online business with 2 partners, which is the 3prettygirls3.blogspot.com. I just got my first bonus from the business last week! ROF! The business does not generate much income, it is more to helping the girls to find cheaper beauty masks and other accessories. But we really have fun in doing it.

2009, a year of self re-discovery.

• Try out at new restaurant or eat out at different restaurants is no longer my hobby.
• Love to "zhng" myself. Have been trying out on different makeup, nail polish and accessories in fashion.
• Go for discounted items most of the time! LOL!!!!

As a conclusion, I think I am getting more and more "si-lai". :s

2009, another wonderful year filled with happy events like my 2nd bro's wedding and the arrival of lil moo-moo. Love to see how the family expands from 5 to 11 persons.

How I survived last week?!

My in-laws went to watch Ling Su Rong's concert at Genting Highlands on Monday to Wednesday. That means, we have to take care of Aden by ourselves. The daddy took up the responsibilities to look after him this round. I only took half day leaves on Tuesday and Wednesday to do the main tasks in the morning - bath Aden, make him sleep in the morning and feed him porridge for lunch.

I knocked a motorcycle at a junction. I was driving out from a juntion into a one-way road. I took a look on my left, no car is coming, so I drove out. Within the second, a motorcycle appeared right in front of me! OMG! SCREECHING - BAM! Ok, guys, nothing happen, I am still alive and the motorcyclist is survived! The motorcycle has the newspaper bag hung on the sides, I believed I knocked on that part and caused the motorcyclist kicked his left leg out to balance himself on the motorcycle. No injury to both of us and our vehicle! How lucky I was!

I bought my first notebook after talking about it since 2007! However, it is not red but blue. :))

I cut my son's hair! It was so adventurous! I cut it when he was sleeping. I tried my best recalling how the barber cut ccw's hair. So, I used all the technique I can remember. ROF! I intended to keep thin sideburns for him but after a few trims, I can see no sideburn! Hee...Nevermind, I proceeded to trim the hair at the back of the ear. I cant really recall how barber cut that part, so I just simply cut the way I want the hair to look like! Luckily, nothing went wrong in the sense that the result is what I am expecting. Next, the hair at the back! I thought I cut it "SENGET" already, but it turns out to be quite presentable. Phew...imagine, I need to "guling" him to the sides when I trimmed the hair at the back. So, I can only based on my 6th sense to cut it straight! I also trimmed the front hair a little bit to make him look handsome, I thought no one might notice it except myself. Who knows, the next morning, Ccw told me that his front hair is very "sat"! *Proud* Ok, why I suddenly cut his hair? Well, his hair is long, cny is around the corner but he is sick, I cant bring him to the saloon yet. So, I decided to give it a try, not that I never trim any hair, I have been trimming and shaping my eyebrows by myself all the while! ROF!

Aden fell sick. He got a bit of coughing on Friday morning. Went to see doctor on Friday night. Doctor prescribed him 2 types of coughing syrup and she never tell us that one of it will cause Aden to be energetic, meaning to say should avoid giving to him at night. So, Aden had sleepless night for the following days. Sunday night was the worst, he threw up twice at night and we had to clean up the bedroom in the middle of the night twice. Returned to the doctor on Monday morning and she changed the medicine. Finally, last night he can sleep slightly better than the last few nights. Still wake up a few times but at least he can go back to sleep. I think he is much better now compare to last few days.

And I haven't got a break from work since last week! Ok, maybe half day on Sunday after a lonely lunch at Kenny Rogers.

Now, I am longing for the CNY break!
