Sleeping with a book under the pillow

My daughter had a new idea.

After learning a few vocabulary at night, I told my daughter to keep away the book.

MM: Mummy, I will put it next to my bed tonight, then tomorrow I bring it downstair SO THAT the vocabulary will go into my brain when I sleep through wifi.

I know she is just lazy.

I found her actually put the book underneath the pillow and sleep on it!

Oh my...maybe she really think it works.

Little Girl Asking For Rewards

Cola's meimei is now in Primary 3.

MM: Mummy, why my friend can get $ with her spelling test?
Me: How is it?
MM: She gets RM1 if she score 91%-100%, 50 cents if she scores 81%-90% and 20 cents for 70%-80%.
Me: Hmm...ok. I will give you the same, show me your spelling results.
MM: Ok, mummy, I give you my spelling exercise book for one subject only or all three?
Me: Bring all.
MM: Mummy, do you know why I ask like that?
Me: Why?
MM: I scared you do not have enough money.
Me: ... (OK, consider a good girl still)

After looking at her results, I told her that I will give her RM2 if she can score 100%.

Later on, she told the bro about it. So, Cola also bring his spelling exercise books and claim for rewards.

Me: MM, I thought you said you scared I do not have enough money? Why do you tell koko?
MM: *smile*

And, this reward system works well, she manage to get 100% in the recent BM ejaan. Good job, MM!

2 weeks + 1 day school holidays

To many parents, there is the question why is there an extra 1 day holiday after 2 weeks of school holidays? Isn't that long enough already? Why alang-alang?

And what the child has to say? My daughter told me last night before she went to bed. She said that she hates this kind of school holidays. I asked her why? She said you see, we only have a short holidays then we need to go back to school. I thought it is a long holidays, 2 weeks and 1 day.
She continued: I wish we have 1 year holidays then only study. OR we study for 6 months and then followed by 6 months school holidays.

Ya, hmm.

I guess she is right. 2 weeks is too short.

Dear parents, please do not complain for the extra 1 day, it does not mean much compare to a year or 6 months.

Yes, ma'am.

4-years-old Birthday

So, my little Princess Sofia is 4-year-old! (Oh ya, she is now addicted to Princess Sofia cartoon and decided to change her name to Sofia too.)

As usual, we celebrated her birthday with our families.

We let her be princess for a day.

We bring her to shop for her birthday dress on her birthday. To my surprise, she enjoys trying out all the dresses I picked! When I said ALL, it means around 10 dresses! She dances around every time after change, and pose for me to take a photo.

She just wanted a long dress, a dress that princess would wear.

Next, after some rest at home, I painted her nails. She waited patiently for more than 30mins for her nails be painted and dry up before she can play around.

Too bad, after all these, she fell asleep inside the car while we were going to her birthday dinner. She only wake up shortly after arriving at the dining place.

Very happy with her Castle birthday cake too. She spent the nights pretending she is a princess, holding her dress up while walking.

Happy to see her grow up into a little girl :)

A sweet phone call

Received a phone call from my little purple girl this morning while I am at work:

Meimei: 妈咪,你今天是亮亮回还是暗暗回?Mummy, you will be back early or late today?
Mummy: hmm...亮亮回。I will be back early today :)
Meimei: 妈咪,做么今天你要亮亮回?你想我哈?Mummy, why you want to come back earlier today? Do you miss me?
Mummy: 嗯!妈咪想你咯!Yes, mummy misses you!
Meimei: 嘻!Hee!

She is not only the little darling of the daddy but also mine.

She is my reflection. I kissed her yesterday morning to wake her up and this morning, she kisses me just the way I did when she is trying to wake me up.

My stubborn little girl

She is now 3 years and 8 months old.

She has been going to kindergarten for about 2.5 months crying everyday except for the first 2 weeks. We have then decided to let her stay home.

I cant find the reason why she does not want to go to school: the teachers are fine, the children plays with her, and she loves the activities there. But she just waking up everyday crying and telling us that she does not want to go to school.

I have tried to bribe her with candies and chocolates, tempt her with the school activities, yet she managed to continue crying till she lost her voice.

Dear baby, you win! Mummy and daddy have to give in. We will send you to kindergarten when you are ready. Muacks.

Shopping with the kids

Last night, we had a great experience shopping with the kids.

I think it was the first time we go shopping with both of the kids at the departmental store for CCW's apparels where Princess Cola can walk on her own. Most of the time, we carried her.

So the Princess was like a horse being let loose. We lost her the next second after I placed her on the floor. Aden and I were looking and calling for her in the bushes (racks of hanging clothes). We could not find her and I was a bit panic. I was standing in front of a fitting room with its door closed. The sales girl whispered "Fitting Room" to me, and I was not too sure what she meant and she pointed to the fitting room in front of me. I slowly pushed open the door and then I heard Princess Cola's laughing with joys!

Baby Cola was very happy to have a mate playing hide-and-seek. Usually he will be the one who is bored when we go shopping. Now, I think he will not anymore. And I guessed, he will not say that the sister does not know how to play with him anymore in near future.

CCW finally decided to carry princess and asked me to find him something suitable. Then bring the princess into the fitting room together so that she wont go missing. LOL!

I want a kuku bird

My 2-year-old daughter loves to follow whatever the brother is doing.

Last night, when she saw the brother was peeing inside the toilet, she quickly took off the pants herself, and telling me that she wants to pee. She even try to remove the diaper herself.

So I told her to wait for me because she is too short to climb onto the toilet bowl and she cant pee standing up. When I was holding her to secure her on the toilet bowl, she told me this:
"Mummy, I want to buy a kuku bird!"
I guess this is the funniest thing she ever said by far! She just want a kuku bird so that she can pee like the way the brother does! And how smart of her to think that she can buy one!

Little princess speaks

On the very beautiful Malaysia Day,

Saw the military vehicles which join the Malaysia Day Parade stopped by the roadside.

Ccw parked the car and we walked over to let the children have a closer look.

I asked little princess whether she wants to stand side by side with the bro and have a photo shot and she said: 我没有脚。 (I do not have legs)

In fact, what she meant was she did not put on any shoes.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lazying on the bed, taking a nap.
Ccw came up with the little princess to ask me whether want to go for early dinner but then he decided not to.
Later, they came up again.
Little Princess: 你好了没?你起来了没?(Are you ready? Wake up dy?)
Cola's meimei is 15mo+
Weight: 7.5kg Hooray! She is heavier!
Height: 73cm
Sleep:
Sleep at ard 9:00pm. Wake up for milk twice. I don't mind it at all, just hoping that she can put on more weight!
Feeding:
Milk (4oz)
Taking Enfapro fully now.
Porridge for lunch and dinner.
Enjoy eating fruits and biscuits.
She is fed with Kolomee too when we have breakfast outside.
Interesting parts:
* Learning eyes, nose, ears and tongue in mandarin.
* She is very active.
* She is very daring to "walk" and let herself fall after taking a few steps!
* She will cry for milk if she saw her bro drinking it.
* We have very hard time to make her sleep at night! Whenever I was too tired, I would rather swing her to sleep instead of patting her on bed.
* If you scolded her, she will show your very pity face, control herself from crying out. But if she failed and started crying, it is hard to stop her. She will cry as hard as she wants!
* She is very smart girl, she knows who to turns to at night and during day time. At night, she will call "mummy~" to wake me up from sleep and make her milk. Then after she finished her milk, she will call again "mummy~" to pass me the bottle. If I did not go get the bottle from her, she can go on and on calling me. But, if the daddy attend to her at night, she will cry. If the daddy try to pat her, she will try to remove his hand or avoid his touch by moving away! During day time, she will call for papa and popo as she knows they are better playmate than mummy!
We gave her one and she stopped crying immediately. Adele dropped her book and the bookstore announced they are closing, so I did not pick it up for her but walked out the store instead. She cried pitifully as I walked away. Everyone was looking at her, by the time I stopped down to take a look at her, i found her teary eyes! Aw...
She pooed at the clinic during right before it is her turn for checkup. I just brought her into the consultation room. When it is time to put her on scale, I told the nurse that she has poo in diaper, so we cant remove diaper for weighing that day.
