Death Note 1 & 2

Watched Death Note when it was showed in Kuching 2 months ago (cant remember) which according to sandbox is an old movie. Din realised it when I watching it until I saw the posters of Death Note 2 - The Last Name in Singapore.

As usual, double check again to make sure that the movie is not a horror movie. HAHA!

Anyway, can only find the official website for Death Note - The Last Name and it is in Japanese. sian! 'x'!!! But if you would like to find out more, I sincerely introduce you to the movie-ho-lic, velverse. Personally, I quite like the rating she gives to most of the movies. Watching a Japanese movie is different from the Chinese and English movie, because they speak the language that I cannot understand ma :( So, I had to read the subtitle and watched the movie at the same time.

Death Note is actually a japanese manga (comic) according to sandbox.

I like the movie very much lor. Thus I decided to write a little about the story of the 2 movies here.

It is actually about the smart boy, Light, who wishes to turn the world into a criminal free and peaceful place for human beings, gets hold of the deathnote, which is a notebook that can end one's life if his/her name appeared on it. He uses it to kill all the criminals that are not punished by the law.

He thought that his act could stop all the criminal cases.

He has been using his intelligent to cover up himself without being discovered as the killer.

L, a genius, is the investigator assigned to this case. When he is about to point out who is the killer, Light decided to earn the society trust by ending his own girl friend's life because no one would ever suspect anyone would kill their loved one, including L.

That's the end of part 1 which keeps you in suspense whether L can solve the puzzle created by Light in the next episode.

If Light think that he is doing good deed, why would he has to cover up himself?
If doing something that you cant even tell anyone, most probably you are doing something not good, against the law, or even against your own principal.

If Light think that he is smart enough to cover up himself, how would his girl friend or even the inspector's wife find him out easily?

If killing all the criminals is the way to create a paradise, that means killing would not be any crime, then ... why Light would have to kill the other criminals???

L's brilliant mind attracts me.

Death Note - The Last Name

To Light, he wanted to kill L so much. He requested to join the investigation team with the reason to find out killer of his girl friend. If you were asking why don't he just kills L straight away with his deathnote. Well, he does not know L's real name. Thus, he wishes to find out his name by approaching him.

Then there appears another deathnote owner and another round of human slaughtering.

And the story goes on as interesting as the episode 1.

I like the ending very much.

Light continues to act insane and is willing to take away his father's life.

Light's father is a responsible cop and dad, he shows no bias on his son as he found out that his son is a killer.

A paradise should be a place with humanity but it might not necessary to be criminal free.
