Curse of the Golden Flower @ 满城尽带黄金甲

Watched a few movies lately and haven't look through their official website yet.

Will do it now. ^_^ Well, I seldom read through the synopsis of a movie before going to cinema except for ghost movie. I love to sit inside the cinema and let the screen takes my eyes. I love to visit the official website after watching it. Weird ho?! If not mistaken, I only aware of the website after watching Infernal Affairs. Since then, I always visit the official website after watching a movie. hehe..

Curse of the Golden Flower @ 满城尽带黄金甲 - Oh, look at the name, so "historical + hero" feel, it must be by Zhang Yi Mou. And Oh, it is Gong Li. Oh, Chow Yun Fatt. Eh, Jay Chou?! Ok...Jay Chou, OKK's idol desu ne! So, let's go and watch it!

Before watching, @pple did brief us a little bit on the title: 满城尽带黄金甲. I did not know that 黄金甲 is flower until she told me lor. Well, I did not know the English name of the movie as well.

Wah...the setting is very colourful lor, not too good for the eyes, hahah kidding. I like those scenes where there are a lot of people. However, those scenes inside the kitchen where they prepared and cook the medicine for the empress kept reminding me of the Korean drama series, 大長今 @ da chang jin. The shooting skills used are quite similiar. Parts that I hate most in the movie is the bloody scenes. Argh...so cruel! Hate!

As for the characters, woo, thumbs up for Chow Yun Fatt! He is definitely the Emperor! His character is an old, sick man but has to be STRONG and POWERFUL Emperor in front of the others. Gong Li is not bad too.

Halfway through the movie, I felt that I can tell the whole story already. The Emperor rules and the rebels shall die. I don't know, it leads me to the ending directly. I dont know, maybe the actors are good and can tell the story.

The only surprise to me is that Emperor killed his loved one too! Hmm...Fine, he is the cold-blooded animal. Only animal will kill its own kind.
