By the lake

Photos taken by the lake @ Pustaka Negeri Sarawak.

I was there early in the morning Last Sunday. I took part in the "Walk-A-Mile" event organised by Sarawak Heart Foundation and Department of Cardiology, Sarawak General Hospital in conjuction with World Heart Day 2007

Hmm...After reading the running, running and running posts from adipos, I want to take part in one too! But you know and I know la, I where got stamina to run like him, so instead of running 21km, I decided to walk a mile. WAKAKAKAKA....adipos, I hope you wont vomit blood while reading this!

That morning, I reached Pustaka around 6:30am. Changed into the T-shirt given for free and waited patiently for VIP to arrive and walk with us around the lake. A mile is short, it is just one round circle the lake. There are about 400 participants (not too sure, but one of the lucky draw number is 400). We walked extremely slow with the crowd. After the walk, I joined them in the line dance and Tai Chi too.

Stage and prizes for lucky draw winners

Arrival of honourable guest - Yang Amat Berbahagia Datuk Amar Puan Sri Dr. Hajjah Laila Taib.

My first time meeting her in person.

While Yang Amat Berbahagia Datuk Amar Puan Sri Dr. Hajjah Laila Taib was giving speech
Advice from her: A person who is below 5ft 10, waistline must keep below 36 inches so that you wont torture your heart!

Breakfast (milk + cereal) sponsored by Nestle.

Basically, the program is similar to last year event. You can read it from 13th panda who took part in it last year.
